How We Select Studies
Studies are fetched daily from PubMed and OpenAlex using focused search terms across 9 health categories. From these candidates, an AI model selects the most relevant based on four criteria:
- Recency: Published within the last 3 months.
- Study quality: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are preferred, followed by RCTs, cohort studies, and observational research.
- Practical relevance: The finding should be actionable or offer a meaningful shift in understanding.
- Novelty: Priority to studies that challenge conventional wisdom, confirm a hypothesis with stronger evidence, or address an active public health debate.
All summaries are generated by AI and reviewed for accuracy. Each article links to the original peer-reviewed source.
